ACNE SCAR TREATMENT FAQ
The Opus Plasma device contains small, metal electrodes that are precisely positioned on the skin. As a surface-level, fractional laser targets the upper layers of skin, a small amount of charged gas is released, generating a current between the electrodes. This creates a burst of plasma that follows natural channels in deeper skin layers, stimulating the body’s natural healing response. This combination of techniques breaks down scar tissue and allows the skin to repair itself while also increasing the production of skin tightening proteins elastin and collagen.
The majority of patients will see a small amount of visible improvement immediately, and their acne scarring will continue to heal between treatments over the course of about six weeks.
