LASER SKIN RESURFACING Procedure

Laser-assisted skin resurfacing at Fearfully & Wonderfully Made is a noninvasive cosmetic treatment that makes use of precise beams of energy to exfoliate damaged surface skin cells layer by layer. This service is offered to address facial lines and wrinkles and for minimizing skin irregularities, such as acne scars, pigmentation, and more. With the Harmony XL PRO, laser skin resurfacing is regarded as an effective facial treatment for people desiring clearer, softer, and younger-looking skin. Based on the needs of the patient’s skin, the treatment may be adjusted for best results. Any concerns or questions can be talked about with our medical aesthetician, Laura Biris, during your appointment at our Orland Park, IL office.

LASER SKIN RESURFACING FAQ

How much does laser skin resurfacing cost?

Your laser resurfacing cost will vary, depending on the treatment type you get. During your initial consultation, Laura will ask about your concerns and goals before discussing the types of laser resurfacing available with the Harmony XL PRO. After this, she can help you decide on your resurfacing treatment and discuss costs. Fearfully & Wonderfully Made regularly runs treatment specials and packages so ask about current specials during your consultation.

How can I help my skin recover after a resurfacing treatment?

Laura or a member of her staff will explain ways to help your skin heal following your session. The most important rule is to not pick or peel flaking skin. This could lead to long-term damage, like scars. You should skip all hair removal methods on the treated skin, which means no shaving, waxing, or depilatory creams. We will also recommend a topical ointment to help soothe and heal your skin.

How often should I get laser resurfacing treatments?

Depending on the resurfacing options you and Laura choose for your procedure, you might need to wait several weeks or even months between treatments. Deeper laser treatments will give you results that last longer; however, they do need a lengthy recovery period. You should talk to Laura about how frequently you want to return for treatments so she can take this into account when suggesting a type of resurfacing during your consultation.
